Hello, young Padawan
I was given a taste of a hipster drink. Yes, lol, I wanted to tell you about it because I know many people want to quit coffee, or at least cut down. If it can be helpful to you, I might as well share the information.
For those who don’t drink coffee, like your faithful servant, know that you might also be interested in its benefits. That’s what tempted me. I first tried it through a friend, then I bought some myself and drank it for four weeks to see if I saw any results.
Here we go.
Bonjour, the drink that wakes you up beautifully
First, let’s talk about the taste. There are three flavors, and I tried two—one without caffeine, one with. Let’s be clear: I don’t like coffee. I love the smell, but not the bitter taste.
– The first one I tried is the “original” flavor. It contains caffeine, and you can taste cocoa and coffee, but it’s not overpowering, so even coffee-hating people like me won’t be disappointed.
– The second is the cocoa version, without caffeine, whose flavors are much more my style, namely cocoa with a hint of coffee, but really light.
– For severe coffee lovers, they also propose a “coffee” flavor, which I obviously haven’t tried, but I know two people who have tried it and told me it was delightful, like a lightly toasted coffee, great.
If you love coffee, you won’t be disappointed and will appreciate all three flavors. If, like me, you’re a bit resistant, you’ll love the first two flavors because they’re balanced and not overwhelming.
They come in powder form and easily dissolve in hot water. The “Coffee” and “Original” flavors contain 35 mg of green coffee (including 35 mg of caffeine). All three have no added sugar and contain approximately 21 kcal per cup.
What’s the point of replacing your usual morning drink with this one?
First of all, for coffee drinkers, Bonjour contains 5 times less caffeine than coffee so that you won’t experience energy crashes or withdrawal symptoms.
Next, it promises energy and focus, without the jitters and discomfort you can experience with coffee. It also improves digestion and sleep thanks to its formula containing adaptogenic mushrooms and less caffeine.
Each cup contains 2,250 mg of concentrated extracts from adaptogenic mushrooms, including lion’s mane for mental clarity, cordyceps for energy, and chaga for digestion and immunity, representing 40% of the composition. This drink provides long-term improved immunity, focus, mental clarity, and mood by reducing overall inflammation in the body.
Results after four weeks of testing.
After two or three days, I noticed an improvement in my concentration. It was clear and sharp after a week, accompanied by a reduction in the mental noise of people who overthink, lol. That is to say, I still have just as many ideas, but they are better organized in my head, making them easier to jot down and implement. And I must also note, to my great surprise, that I sleep better, even though I’m already in the category of people who sleep well.
Regarding my mood, immunity, and digestion, I haven’t noticed anything substantial, nor am I particularly concerned about these issues. However, I asked the friend who introduced me to this drink, and he told me that he had mood and digestion problems, which improved after about two weeks or three weeks, the two being linked; this seems logical to me (see my article on the intestine here, as well as the links in it).
So here are the results of this little test. Will I continue to drink Bonjour in the morning? Definitely. Even though tea drinkers don’t experience the same energy slump as coffee drinkers, replacing my morning tea with this caffeine-free cocoa version helps me absorb my iron better, as drinking tea right after a meal prevents it from being absorbed. The improvement in my concentration and the reduction in brain fog are also very pleasant, providing good reasons to continue.
And that’s it for today’s article, dear Padawan. I wish you a wonderful weekend, and we’ll see you next Thursday for new adventures on this blog!
XO ☕️
