Hello, young Padawan
A good lemon water is nice, but we’ll all agree it’s pretty boring. We’re coming to the end of summer, and we’d love a little touch of life, a touch of playfulness, a little twist that will modernize this good old classic.
Say no more, I’ve done this simple and effective infused water to make you appreciate the end of summer.
Late Summer Infused Water
1/2 untreated yellow or organic kiwi
5 mint leaves
1/2 untreated or organic lemon
2 liters (or about 70 fl oz) of filtered water
Optional: A few ice cubes.
Recipe
Wash the half kiwi and half lemon, and cut them into thin slices with a sharp knife.
In a large carafe, place the thin slices of kiwi, lemon, and the slightly crushed mint leaves and add the filtered water. Cover and place in the refrigerator for at least six hours, ideally overnight.
Presentation
Using a fine tea strainer, a coffee filter, or a fine strainer, pour your infused water into your prettiest glasses or a water bottle for the office. Add a few ice cubes for an “aperitif” effect.
Keep refrigerated for 24 hours.
And here’s this little lemon water, revisited: simple, effective, and truly enjoyable.
