For the ice tea of your dreams, it’s this way.

Hello, young Padawan

I hope your summer is going well, sunny, and not too sticky. We’re not idle around here, especially when it comes to creating new iced tea and infused water recipes.

Today’s recipe might just become your favorite, so let’s create the summer iced tea of your dreams together—or almost!

SUMMER ICE TEA

3 tbsp vanilla tea of your choice, or 2 tea bags. For this recipe, my favorite is Mariage Frères Namaskar tea.

One ripe apricot

5 basil leaves

2 liters (or about 70 fl oz) of filtered water

Optional: a few ice cubes.

RECIPE

Wash the apricot, then cut it in half. Next, slice it into thin slices using a sharp knife to prevent it from becoming mushy. Be careful not to cut yourself.

In a large carafe, place the thin apricot slices, finely chopped basil leaves, tea leaves or tea bags, and add the filtered water. Cover and refrigerate for at least six hours, ideally overnight.

Presentation

Using a fine tea strainer, a coffee filter, or a fine strainer, pour your infused water into your prettiest glasses or a water bottle for the office. Add a few ice cubes for an “aperitif” effect.

Keep refrigerated for 24 hours.
