Hello, Chillers
Still don’t know what to get your little sister, your uncle, or yourself for Christmas, you little rascal? No worries, here’s a short list of last-minute gift ideas to help you out if all your ideas are exhausted or nonexistent.
Hoping to be of use to you in your quest for that nice little gift, let’s go.

Beauty Gift Ideas
For something a little more personal than a Sephora gift card, I suggest a surefire hit for anyone who loves makeup: a set of trendy mini blushes. You’ll hit the nail on the head, you wouldn’t believe it.
I saw two nice sets, the one from Westman Atelier here, and the one from Glossier here, or at Sephora.
One set comes in three mini sticks, the other in three mini tubes. Both sets are remarkably high quality, well-pigmented, easy to work with, and suitable for almost all skin tones. I bought both sets at Sephora during a discount, and I absolutely love using them. The advantage of these mini sizes is that you’ll use them up before they dry out, and you get three colors instead of just one—how great is that!

Gift ideas for readers
First, I refer you to my article on reading gift ideas from last year here, where I told you about this little reading lamp you can see in the photo. I never leave home without it, whether I’m reading in the evening, in the dim light of airport waiting rooms, on trains, or when my eyes are tired. It prevents you from getting that headache you get from straining your eyes too much—those who know, know.
And besides, the easiest gift for a reader is simply a book.
A new trend has emerged among young adults, much to my delight: “booktok.” These are young people who discuss their reading on the social network TikTok. It just goes to show that even on an app with such a bad reputation, you can find some good things. And so, a 26-year-old woman recommended “Pumpkin Spice Café” to me. It’s a romance set in a small New England town between a café owner and a grumpy, but sexy farmer.
I confess I wasn’t particularly thrilled, but I wanted to please her so we could discuss it afterward, so I read it, and I must admit I wasn’t bored for a second. It’s well-structured, much better written than I expected, and there are some nice plot twists. Quite frankly, it was exactly what I needed between philosophy, sociology, history, or politics lectures. These lectures clear your head and bring a little joy before bedtime.
It’s actually a trilogy, followed by “The Cinnamon Roll Bookstore” and “The Christmas Tree Farm,” I’ve started the second one, and it’s still just as enjoyable to read.
So yes, just before, I had just finished reading the Lord of the Rings trilogy, an excellent gift idea by the way, and indeed, with Tolkien, we’re dealing with a rich universe and a brilliant story, but you can’t compare them. Just as sometimes we enjoy a Michelin-starred meal, we can also appreciate dining at a bistro. That’s all for this second gift ideas section.

Other gift ideas
So, as for this section, it all depends on what the person likes. In the photo, I’ve shown you a nice reading journal, where the reader can create a presentation sheet, a summary, and notes for each of their reads.
And below that, a recipe collection for cooks who want to put all their culinary creations down in writing and in an organized way. I find this one particularly well-made and attractive. Both items can be found here and there.
A journal, for people who like to write, can also be a nice idea, as well as materials related to their hobbies.
Watercolor supplies, craft supplies, sewing supplies, knitting supplies, stationery supplies – it’s quite easy to find a little something for people who have hobbies.
A candle is also a great idea. If you’re on a budget, there are some really lovely ones at Monoprix right now, for example. The fir-scented one you see in the main photo is from Monoprix and smells like a wonderful fir forest.
You can also suggest a trendy little thing, like the Bonjour drink I talked about in this article here, or some pretty Lush soaps, as discussed over there.
With all that said, I hope you’ve found a great idea for someone you know. All that’s left for me to do is wish you a wonderful end to the week, a great weekend, and I’ll see you next Thursday for more adventures on the blog.
