Since apparently half of the northern hemisphere have decided to catch a cold, it’s time to take control of your health before being caught by the surrounding microbes.

 

Let’s see again that it is easy to eat healthy and good (super mega seriously good, by the way, ed). Let’s go for a new simple recipe that you can enjoy at breakfast, snack, or dessert, and that will give a hell of a great form to your immune defenses. And to you too, at the same time …
 

 

 

 

Boosting immune defenses with cinnamon and turmeric

As turmeric is a natural anti-inflammatory, it can comfort tiny blushing throats and itchy eyes. It is rich in vitamins, fiber, and especially curcumin, of course. Curcumin is also a powerful antioxidant that neutralizes free radicals. Finally, it has a hepatic detoxifying action. Indeed, it facilitates the secretion and evacuation of bile.

When you buy ground spices, if you prefer not irradiated ones (yes, you read it well, ed), buy it imperatively in an organic store.

 

Cinnamon, on the other hand, stimulates the immune system. Rich in manganese, iron, calcium, it also contains vitamin C, as well as all the vitamins of group B, except B12. Also rich in antioxidants by its proanthocyanidins and cinnamaldehyde, it protects you from old age, some cancers, and takes great care of your little heart.

 

 

 

Autumn fruits salad

For 2-3 servings

 

2 tangerines
1 apple
1 ripe fig
1 kiwi

1 lemon (from which we will only take a few drops)

4 nuts
10 hazelnuts

1 finger of fresh turmeric. Which one, will you tell me? A finger phalanx if you’re afraid with turmeric, but if you want to do as the photo recipe, it’s an index phalanx.
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
2 to 3 laps of Madagascar pepper mill (voatsiperifery)

Optional: some blackberries, some mint leaves.
 

 

 

RECIPE

Shell the nuts and hazelnuts, roughly crush nuts, and possibly hazelnuts (your faithful servant prefers them whole, but it’s your recipe).

 

Peel the mandarins and separate the quarters. Cut the apple in half, then in four, and then in thin slices, cut the fig in four, and the kiwi previously peeled into thin slices.

 

Arrange all the fruits in a salad bowl, add walnuts and hazelnuts, pass the fresh turmeric to the garlic press, add the remaining spices, squeeze a few drops of lemon, then stir gently.

 

 

PRESENTATION

In a cute ramekin or small soup plate, arrange a few spoonfuls of this sumptuous mixture of fruits. Sprinkle with a handful of blackberries per plate. Place in the center of the plate a nice mint leaf, and voila!

 

 

 

 

With this fruit salad, you can run naked in the street without catching a cold; as long as you have good running shoes, lol. You can also watch your favorite movie wrapped in a blanket, and a hot cocoa.

 

I do not hold you back any longer, because it seems to me that you have some groceries to buy, lol.
 

Ps: Do not forget the turmeric!
